extends javax.media.j3d.Shape3D

This class is the abstract super class for surfaces represented by an IndexedTriangleStripArray. This implementation does not depend on the Java3D utility classes GeometryInfo or NormalGenerator. Doing so enables the use of the ByReference support. The ByReference support eliminates the copying of user data within the Java3D implementation and instead depends on user supplied data by reference. A consequence of not using the GeometryInfo class is that normals must be calculated without the aid of the NormalGenerator utility class.
