• Hot Potato Algorithm
  • When a packet comes in, the IMP tries to get rid of it as fast as it can, by putting it on the shortest output queue.
• Backward Learning Algorithm
  • Each packet includes the identity of the source IMP, together with a computer that is incremented on each hop.
